Most Danish high-rise buildings were built in the 1950s through the 1970s in the country's construction boom. Some examples are Bellahøj from the 50s, Høje Gladsaxe from the 60s and Boligbebyggelsen Brøndby Strand from the 70s, all of these located in the Copenhagen Metropolitan Area. Since then, only a few towers have been built.
